Fasting weight loss for a lean and trim body – Is it a humour?

One of the major problems that the people of America face today is being overweight. That is why most of them are trying fasting weight loss. Controlling appetite is the most important methods of weight loss.

When Federal Centers for disease Control conducted the health surveys in 1960 and 1970s they came up with the findings that more then 25% of the US citizens were seriously overweight. The problem took a serious turn in the 1980s and 1990s when the proportion increased to over 30%. Such trend continues and the danger continues to lark in the society unabated even to day. Similar trend is prominent among the teenagers as well. While around 15% of the children were overweight during the 1970s, today the proportion has gone up to 21%. Naturally enough the physicians and medical scientists consider this as one of the major threats for human society and people who have developed obese body by gaining weight are invariably trying fasting weight loss.

On average a child watches nearly ten thousand TV commercials on food advertisements every year. These ads do not recommend fruit or broccoli. Commercials mostly promote food stuff that helps weight gain rather than weight loss. Foods like pizza are rubbery, sticky and the cheese that behaves like strong rubber bands are promoted. Hamburger, greasy patties, greasy bacon, sauce and fries all causes fat gains and developing constipation. Candy pieces and breakfast that contains more than 50% sugar are recommended. All of them cause fat and all of them are not good for weight loss. Soft drinks are very popular these days. Many people have wrong notions that these soft drinks form part of fasting weight loss diets. They are largely mistaken. 64 oz of cold drinks means two quarts of sugary drink for one person.

Even people who are conscious about the bad effects of the junk food still opt from such food basically owing to two reasons. First, they are readily available and second they are cheaper than most other forms of food. However cheap junk foods have also become the reason for health maintenance becoming expensive. You pay on one end or the other. There is however a big difference between the two. You can shelve junk food if you like but you cannot dispense with health care that keeps you alive and kicking. Many people also take to junk food being motivated to do so and in result they become fat.

Humorous part of it is that unlike many other parts of the globe, rich people are thin and poor people are fat in America. Reason is that food has been an outlet like the drug fro the lower echelons of the socio economic systems in USA and the habit of resorting to food has caused many poor people getting fat. Food many not be nutritious yet they add to your body and that is how food adds to the fat in the poor people. The nation needs to control the growth of obesity and it needs fasting for weight loss.
Problems with the American people are that they cannot control their appetite. The problem is not that of overweight but one of checking the appetite. And that is where fasting for weight loss comes in as the most appropriate method of fighting obesity and fat accumulation.
